Website Spoofing is a very common scam you can run into online. Hackers & Cyber-Criminals will buy up website names vaguely similar (i.e. facebo0k.com instead of facebook.com) to the original website you’re trying to reach. If you sign into one of these fake sites, you’re handing over your password to the hackers running the fake page.

Always ensure you are visiting trusted websites! Often spoofed websites are sent via email links.
